You might think that Giant's Causeway is a unusual volcanic formation. But people in Northern Ireland will tell you that giant Finn McCool is responsible.

After leaving our little Nissan Micra in the car park, we hopped on a minibus to the shore. All of a sudden, the kids' eyes opened wide, a huge smile shining on their faces. Without hesitation, they started climbing to the top of the columns, jumping from one stone to another. They made their way further away in the peninsula, near the crashing waves: a huge natural play area at their feet. Alexi ventured as far as he could to have his picture taken. A little too far, as a huge wave gave him no chance to escape and splashed him. He was soaking wet, from his hair down to his shoes. It was cold but it was good fun.
To dry off and warm up, we went for a walk along the path all the way to the giant's organ in the mountain.
Colin made his own impression of the Giant. Soon, it was half one, as they say here, we could have stayed longer, much longer, as the kids never complained, not even once, about all that walking. It was time to go for lunch and head back home to Dublin, along the Antrim coast.
