Colin's birthday parties were a big success.
First, was an intimate family party on 31 March, where we had a banana chocolate chip cake. Certainly, the best - I've made quite a few - I ever baked!
On 1 April, Colin's friends were treated to a "Book of Kells" party. The kids colored images taken from the famous book and pasted them inside their own notebook. Later, they decorated the cover with gold and silver. Then added jewels. The results were most impressive, much like the original.
We also watched "Brendan and the Book of Kells" and shared a football cake. A grand Celtic gathering.
