Leprechaun Museum

We told you about the many rainbows we've seen. But we haven't found any leprechauns yet. So we set our course for the National Leprechaun Museum in order to learn about these mysterious creatures.

We learned that leprechauns are deeply linked with Irish folklore. They used to wear red hats over their pointy ears. Thanks to Walt Disney and Hollywood, the little guys had a fashion makeover à la 'what not to wear' and started sporting green, to blend well with the surroundings.

We made our way through a magical tunnel that turned us into giants. We walked around a replica of the Giant's Causeway, then entered the house of a giant. We had to climb our way up on the chair.

We walked through a rainbow and found a pot of gold. One would think that such a pot is huge, but no. Think of the size of a Leprechaun -- they are tiny. The pot has to be of proportional size. We felt deceived...

Then, we got to make a wish at the wishing well but we can't tell you what our wishes were, otherwise they won't come through.

Finally, we entered a drawing contest and the kids won a spot on the wall of honor!

We now know everything there is to know about Leprechauns. We will definitely catch one sooner than later.
