It's gone!

We woke up this morning to a surprising scene. The snow that has been omnipresent since early December has all but disappeared!

There are many explanations possible. The better one is that Leprechauns from all over the Emerald Isle where fed up with the white blanket covering the meadows, thus making their underground homes really cold. They agreed to leave the snow for all to celebrate a White Christmas. St. Stephen's Day was determined as the ultimate boundary.

Last night, while every soul was asleep, except maybe Colin, the gnomes joined their efforts into getting rid of the snow. Now we are back to spring like conditions. The grass is green. The thermometer shows +10 degrees. The sun is shining. It smells like March.

This only means one thing: St. Paddy's day is right around the corner...
