life in the burbs

today we decided to camp out in the neighbourhood and play in the street. we hadn't seen any kids yet, but we were told that many lived in the neighbourhood. our kids were starting to miss their friends back home. it was a great strategy. we met four families and a bunch of kids. many are the same age as the boys. magalie met a girl the same age as her across the street. what a relief! this is the first step toward achieving some sort of normalcy.
