we travelled all across the old city today. we must have walked close to forty miles. istanbul is so colorful and full of action, you hardly notice that you've been walking for hours.
around every corner is a shop selling something, knives, batteries, bottled drinks, napkins, gift bags -- you name it, they got a store for it.
we also took a turkish bath today. sorry no pictures of that. there was no place to hide the camera. we spent 20 minutes in a hot sauna, then they scrubbed us down for 15 minutes. our skin is so soft!
i spent the evening with my friend and her husband -- a photographer. he taught me a couple of tricks of the trade. here are a couple of pictures of the street life.
