Last Monday, Rob and I bussed to city centre. We followed our noses around the old streets. We visited many pubs. It was really quiet. While sipping a pint, we were much surprised to see a high school teacher walk into McDaid's with his group. Only in Ireland. We figured they must have been talking about Yeats and Behan, famous Irish authors, who use to drink there. Rob could only imagine how much trouble he would be in, if he did the same back home.
We really enjoyed the Porterhouse for their own brews, McDaid's for it's snugness and the Duke for the name, after the Duke of Grafton. We like our Iron Duke better.
We even visited the Clarence Hotel, owned by Bono and The Edge. Sadly, they were nowhere to be found. We decided to call it a night.
